I’m Mari (no pronouns/they), working as a midwife in Karlsruhe.

I work part-time in the delivery room, supporting expectant parents during childbirth. Additionally, I serve as a clinical instructor, guiding students of applied midwifery sciences through the practical aspects of their training.

As a freelance midwife, I offer support from preconception to the end of breastfeeding, including pregnancy and the postpartum period.

In my freelance midwifery practice, I specialize in supporting queer* individuals and family structures. I provide guidance on topics such as fertility treatments, DIY insemination, legal issues like stepchild adoption, and co-nursing/induced lactation.

I live in Karlsruhe city with my partner and our child, in a queer co-parenting multi-parent family. I am white, able-bodied, queer, and neurodivergent. I speak German and English.

I give workshops and talks on the topics of diversity, discrimination, and queer-sensitive midwifery. Please notice: workshops and lectures are only held in German spoken language.
